Breaking news: in a surprising and utterly unprecedented note, the President of Spanish Supreme Court’s Contentious-Administrative Chamber Mr. Luis María Díez-Picazo, re the recent judgement on mortgage tax has announced today that:
“Attending that judgement No. 1505/2018 of Section 2 of the Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the Supreme Court, on the taxpayer of the Tax on Documented Acts, supposes a radical change in the jurisprudential criterion and taken into account, also, its enormous economic and social impact, the President of the Chamber has agreed, as a matter of urgency:
First.- To annul all appointments made on pending appeals with a similar object.
Second.- To submit some of these appals to the Plenary of the Supreme Court’s Chamber, in order to decide if said jurisprudential turn must be confirmed or not.”
